What Went On
April 9th - The Opening Night at The Racehorse
Kevin Dempsey reminded
those who needed any
reminding what a fine
guitarist he is, especially
on “Wicked Polly”.
Paula & Stuart Tindall
provided some classy
guitar and harmonies
including in their sets
two Fleetwood Mac
songs, “Never Going
Back” and “Landslide”.
Bill Bates provided some silliness
(here’s a photo of him taking what
has to be called a “Billfie”) during
the last number of the night led by
Chris Tobin (far right) which had
everyone joining in - that classic Chuck Berry folk song “You
Never Can Tell”. It was a terrific way to kick off the club at the
new venue. Many thanks to everyone who played and listened.
Maria Barham found one
of the best chorus songs
of the night in “Take Me
Home Country Roads”
