What Went On
June 18th - End of season Performers’ Night
Some newcomers, some returning after a while and some regulars - just how we like it.
Here’s a snapshot (and some snapshots - arf, arf) of the night.
Nick Gibbs from Folklaw
did an original called “The
Rocks Of The Burren”
followed by a rousing
fiddle tune
Jayne and Andy from Wildwood Jack
were passing through from Kent and
gave us a n original sea song called
“Me & The Captain” and the Bob Dylan
song “Buckets Of Rain”
Allan Richardson’s
songs always delight;
one was a song
celebrating nature,
in particular, butterflies
Dick Woodhouse
entertained us with Jake
Thackray’s “The Lodger”
and “Beside The Seaside
complete with verses!
Thrup’nny Bits recognised the
213th anniversary of the
battle of Waterloo and did
a seasonal song but the
season was spring...
Maggie Coleman did
“A Song For Ireland”
along with the
traditional song
“Say Darlin’ Say”
