What Went On
May 7th - Bank Holiday Performers’ Night May 21st
The first Performers’ Nght at the new venue was a very
good night - but very warm... Luckily these days we have
bi-fold doors out to the patio at the back which we could
open for the second half. Most of the WFC regulars came
along to check out singing in the new room but we also
had a newcomer duo in K C Jones who did a mixture of
originals and well-known songs.
The Melancholy Brothers popped in to give us a preview
of a couple of songs from their forthcoming album, one of
them being the impossibly catchy “Blue Like You”.
Everyone agreed that it was a great room to sing in - there
was no PA and it wasn’t missed. We ended the night with a
rousing version of that famous chorus song “Sunny
Afternoon” which it most definitely had been.
