What Went On
May 8th - Performer’s Night                                                     May 22nd
We had a visiting quartet from Leicestershire - they are Looma, as
seen above - Tim, Liz, Mark & Bob. They played some lively songs
and tunes, one being a  Charles Causley poem which Tim had set to
music. Their music had a cajun flavour as  you might imagine with
fiddle, accordion and harmonica in the lineup.
Des Patalong “flew solo”
for once and ventured
into the land of self-penned
songs with a topical piece
(with the election in mind)
called “The Neo-Liberal Anthem”
Cheryl Gibbons hadn’t
been to the club for a
while but gave us a
lovely version of
“The Eriskay Love
Lilt” along with one
of her own songs.
