The best in acoustic music: contemporary and traditional folk, country, blues, comedy, jazz & standards
Every other Monday (closed during July) 8.00 p.m. - 10.30 p.m.
From April 9th, held at The Racehorse, Stratford Road, Warwick
Silvington - Tricia and John
The visitors from Devon were Silvington, a duo who
perform a wide range of songs, including a few originals.
They kicked off with a folk club mainstay “Cousin Jack”
(being about Cornwall, not too far from them) followed
by a song of Tricia’s called “River Of Mists” about the
Tamar which divides Cornwall and Devon. (Ewan MacColl
would have been pleased...!) They finished the evening in
rousing style with Sam Larkin’s “Mirabeau Bridge”.
