What Went On
Sept 23rd - Under The Wychwood plus Leon Gormley       October 9th
Leon Gormley and Andrew Lowings
Under The  Wychwood were the group voted to come
and be the guests in the “Four Strong Bands” event back
in February. Matt, Rod, Mark & Lefty (L - R above) played
a range of songs in their energetic style - “Don’t Mess
Around With Jim”, the ever-popular Steve Knightley
song “Cousin Jack”, an original or two and their
belting version of Steve Earle’s “Copperhead Road”.

The opener was Leon Gormley, who was joined in his
second set by Andrew Lowings (from Kim Lowings and
The Greenwood.) Apart from his own songs, we heard
“Sunday Morning” by Bert Jansch and (as the duo) a fine
version of Richard Farina’s “Quiet Joys Of Brotherhood”
which with cittern and bouzouki, sounded delightful.
